Danielle Cassells is the talented designer behind the label DanYell. Danielle has created exclusive prints for the Top Project with her own unique and precise style of hand drawn patterns.
Danielle Cassells: DanYELL is a label which showcases my surface pattern thoughts, ideas and creations. Specialising in Printed Textile Design, I am fond of a pattern and ever so slightly obsessed with lines, dots, 1950âs Americana and felt tip pens!
Following my graduation from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in 2006, I held a work placement with The Centre of Advanced Textiles, based in the Glasgow School of Art. Sampling for Topshop, Mary Katrantzou and many other established designers, it gave me a taste of the industry I wanted to be in.
My successful placement secured me a trainee position with the UKâs leading textile printing manufacturer, Standfast & Barracks. Progressing from Trainee CAD Colourist to Design Co-ordinator, I gained invaluable experience dealing with world renowned designers and designs houses within the fashion and interiors sector.
Today I am a freelance surface pattern designer under the name DanYELL, who continues to offload the jumbled shapes in my head on to digitally printed fashion accessories and cards. email@example.com
